Noosa North Shore Beach Campground, Noosa North Shore QLD

For those seeking a holiday with a genuine sense of adventure, the Noosa North Shore Beach Campground is an unparalleled destination. Located just a short vehicle ferry ride across the Noosa River from Tewantin, this park offers a complete escape from the hustle and bustle, placing you at the gateway to the magnificent Great Sandy National Park. It’s a place where nature takes centre stage, offering a more rugged and authentic coastal experience. The main campground is a sprawling, shaded area nestled in the bushland just behind the dunes, providing easy access for both 2WD and 4WD vehicles. It’s a fantastic base for families and groups looking to immerse themselves in a beautiful, natural setting.

The park caters to a wide variety of campers. For those with a 4WD, the unpowered beach camping sites offer the ultimate experience, allowing you to set up with the sound of the surf as your constant companion. For others, the powered sites within the main campground provide essential comforts while still feeling a world away. And for a touch of luxury without losing the outdoor feel, the park’s new glamping tents offer a stylish and comfortable alternative. Despite its remote atmosphere, the park is well-equipped with essential amenities, including toilet and shower blocks, a basic camp kitchen, laundry facilities, and a small kiosk for essentials, ensuring a comfortable stay for all.

The real magic of the Noosa North Shore lies in the vast wilderness at your doorstep. This is the starting point for the famous Great Beach Drive, a 4WD adventure that takes you past the stunning Teewah Coloured Sands all the way to Double Island Point and Rainbow Beach. The fishing is legendary, with anglers lining the shores in search of tailor, bream, and whiting. It’s a place for long beach walks, exploring dunes, and enjoying campfires under a brilliant starry sky. This isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a base for adventure and creating lasting memories in one of Queensland’s most spectacular coastal environments.
