This is a completely self-sufficient camping experience. There are absolutely no facilities at Cockatoo Creek—no toilets, no water, no showers, and no rubbish bins. Campers must bring in everything they need for their stay and, most importantly, take every single piece of rubbish out with them. This ‘leave no trace’ principle is vital to preserving the pristine nature of such remote locations. Access requires a 4WD, as the tracks can be sandy and corrugated.
