Tucked away in the magnificent Yuraygir National Park, this stunning campground offers an immersive back-to-nature experience on the banks of the pristine Wooli Wooli River. It is a destination that rewards effort, as reaching the campground requires either a 1-kilometre walk from the nearest car park, carrying all your gear, or paddling in by canoe or kayak. The campground is a haven for wildlife. You are almost guaranteed to be visited by kangaroos and wallabies, and the area is a hotspot for birdwatching, with majestic sea eagles often seen soaring overhead. The surrounding park offers fantastic opportunities for bushwalking, including sections of the epic Yuraygir coastal walk. While it feels a world away, the charming seaside village of Wooli is the nearest hub for supplies.
