Frazer Campground – Munmorah State Conservation Area

Frazer Campground is a jewel of the Central Coast, offering a spectacular and highly sought-after camping experience within the beautiful Munmorah State Conservation Area. This popular campground provides the perfect blend of a rugged coastal setting with excellent, family-friendly facilities. It’s uniquely positioned to give campers the best of both worlds: the beautiful, patrolled surf of Frazer Beach on one side, and the calm, protected waters of the Frazer inlet (or lagoon) on the other. This makes it an ideal destination for everyone from keen surfers and anglers to families with young children who can safely splash and play in the lagoon.

The campground is set in a beautiful, shaded clearing just a short walk from the beach. The main camping area is a walk-in site for tents, ensuring a peaceful, vehicle-free environment, while a separate area accommodates a small number of camper trailers. The facilities are a major drawcard, with the park providing the rare luxury of hot showers and flush toilets, making for an exceptionally comfortable stay. The area is a fantastic base for exploration, with the Palms circuit track offering a beautiful walk through a rare stand of cabbage tree palms, and other coastal tracks providing stunning clifftop views. The headlands are a magnificent spot for watching migrating whales in season. Due to its incredible location and excellent amenities, bookings are absolutely essential and often need to be made months in advance, particularly for weekends and holidays. For a comfortable, scenic, and action-packed coastal getaway that feels a world away yet is so close to Sydney, Frazer Campground is a top-tier choice.
